Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Evaluation and Treatment
I have designed this website for my patients and for those interested in learning more about carpal tunnel syndrome, its symptoms, causes, diagnosis, and non-surgical and surgical treatment options.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common nerve compression disorder treated by hand surgeons. Its symptoms manifest by the tingling of the fingers, finger numbness, hand numbness, hand pain, wrist and forearm pain, and in severe cases, muscle atrophy of the hand. Many factors can contribute to the development of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Appropriate and timely carpal tunnel treatment can prevent the development of permanent disability. Conservative treatment may be sufficient for carpal tunnel relief; however, many patients eventually require carpal tunnel surgery. The goal of carpal tunnel surgery is to prevent progression by decreasing pressure on the median nerve at the wrist.
As a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand to shoulder surgery, I treat traumatic, acute, and chronic orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity. I am deeply committed to caring for my patients the same way I would care for my family. In my practice, patient care and satisfaction are of utmost importance, and I pride myself with an unparalleled attentiveness to my patients and the art of orthopedic surgery.
For detailed information on other upper extremity conditions, please visit Izadi Hand. Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to meeting you.
